Steven Greenaway brings over 25 years' experience as a senior advertising, public affairs, and issue management professional to Harris Greenaway Communications.
Prior to forming HGC in 2015, Steven helped build a successful advertising and communications agency in British Columbia. Greenaway and Associates Communications grew to represent some of Western Canada’s largest and well known public and private sector entities in sectors as diverse as forestry, tourism, agriculture and finance. Many of those clients continue to be served by Harris Greenaway today.
Steven’s issues management expertise has resulted in the successful resolution of many business and public policy challenges. He has assisted many clients increase and enhance their public profile by helping them tell their story in unique and compelling ways.
Steven has developed numerous advertising campaigns, covering all media, including many successful public awareness and issue advocacy campaigns. As a political advertising and communications strategist, Steven has participated in dozens of successful national, provincial and municipal election campaigns.
Steven’s strategic communications and issue management experience was sharpened in the arena of public service where he served as senior advisor to the federal Minister of Justice and Attorney General of Canada, the Treasurer of Ontario, and the Attorney General of British Columbia.
He is an alumnus of Queen’s University and holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science and History.
From spearheading the successful effort to build a major community arena and recreation facility to serving on the board of the local community foundation, Steven has always believed in giving back and “leaving this place better than we found it.” He now looks forward to continuing his volunteer work in Saskatoon, the city that he is now proud to call home.
Steven and Teresa, who is also a partner in Harris Greenaway, are the proud parents of two wonderful young adult children, Olivia and Ben, who are now successfully pursuing their own working careers.
